Rencontres de Strasbourg

Last October, European Council of Literary Translators' Associations (CEATL) organised a great conference in Strasbourg, bringing together all parties of the sector: translators, writers, publishers, booksellers, librarians, training establishments, residencies, book festivals and fairs, and all the organisations supporting literary translation in Europe.
It was a dense and enriching event, covering all themes and challenges, from working conditions to AI, from translating as a political act to the dialogue with Creative Europe. And as a sister organisation, CEATL kindly offered AVTE a "carte blanche" slot.
